Gotcha. I still don't know how many will be hitting trails. I know we should have more then indicated, but how many exactly I won't be able to know until the M&G. So far I've counted only 20ish. I'm going to guess that we should have closer to 50 hitting the trails. I'm thinking 2N17 should be approached with a lot of sun light though...
If we have that many, two (or more) groups might be a good idea. One could hit 2N17 directly, rather than via Cleghorn.
...or it might be kinda cool to have 50 FJC caravan over Cleghorn. That's surely gotta freak out anyone who sees it
On the "you guys ditching us n00bs" note... I am unfamiliar with Cleghorn and Lytle and im not here to lie to you guys... I have a lifted 2WD with bfg MT's (yeah the ultimate mall cruiser). How far will little experience and a diff lock get me on these trails if I air down?
Ill have fun no matter what I am capable of doing, but just to get an idea...
If you do cleghorn you can cut out anything that looks like too much for you. I have seen quite a few 2 wheel drive rigs do most of it. The only way you learn is to get out there and do it. Very little chance of damage at cleghorn and all that are there will be able to help you. The one thing I have enjoyed about this group is if you do not feel comfortable about doing it you will get absolutely no grief from those around you. This is a great bunch of people.
Just have fun.
I would love to do the 217 route, but I think I am going to pass on any trail runs this weekend. I need to get back home and clean up the trailer for Sedona Fest the following weekend. Can not miss that one for sure. The nearest thing to Ouaray we have.
Mir have a great time, and I may be able to be talked into it, but right now I am outa the loop most likely.

Cleghorn is a great trail for any FJC. It has a "fireroad" type trail that's nice and easy, and braided across it is a trail with very much harder parts. I broke both my CV axles on one of these Cleghorn is a great first offroad trail and it's a great "reference" trail to try stuff out after you have new mods done. If we have a small group on Sat, we should definitely all hit Cleghorn.
