Wasn't sure if I should add to the mongo-huge M&GIV thread or post anew, but ...
Tony has some run ideas listed in the M&G thread (Lytle Creek and Cleghorn), which are great fun easy trails. I wanted to propose a more "black diamond" run alternative, and see if anyone was interested. This is motivated by the fact that I've run Cleghorn uber times and wanted to try something difficult and new. 2N17 has some tricky, off camber, some steep and some potential body damage stuff --- but it's no "hammers".
If people are interested, I guess either post up here and maybe Tony can add it as an option on the main page? But maybe the group of trail runners is already too small and we should do 2n17 some other time. What are people's thoughts?
Mark, I was entertaining the idea of running Cleghorn and pilot rock so we end up in Arrowhead. That is if we have enough time and people are willing. 2N17 sounds like fun. I've always wanted to try that too. Not sure if people want more the medium trail (pilot, miller, etc) or venture into 2N17. I've also read that 2N17 is a bit beat up. Maybe we need to prerun the route? I may be able to take some time off this week to pre run it.

If you don't have time to pre-run, it's OK. Also, if we're a small enough group that we all do one trail (on the M&GIV you'd suggested multiple groups), then of course we should do something everyone could do --- Hovsepdov: I wasn't meaning to offend I was just thinking that if we're going to have a couple of groups anyway, one group could hit an easy trail and another a harder one (kinda like the easy, medium, and hard trail options that they offer at the Summit and when the trails team does an event).
P.S. I guess having broken both CV's and my winch on a Cleghorn trail, I should stop calling Cleghorn easy

Gotcha. I still don't know how many will be hitting trails. I know we should have more then indicated, but how many exactly I won't be able to know until the M&G. So far I've counted only 20ish. I'm going to guess that we should have closer to 50 hitting the trails. I'm thinking 2N17 should be approached with a lot of sun light though...
