Thanks for the pics! I used to live in Alta Loma (33 years) and this brought back some fond memories. Is that a shot of you guys heading east on the 10 FWY? I thought I saw Montclair Plaza to the left.

Yup! We were heading East on 10
Great little wheeling adventure up there.
I really had a great time.
I'm sure more of our group will post more pix.

This pic?
You would be correct! It's Montclair Plaza. See what you're missing?

Did you guys go up the mountain road that eventually ended up on Lone Pine road? That's a good 2000 ft climb and provided a great view of Lytle Creek and Wrightwood.

Well...Not sure if we made it that far. This pic shows where we had to stop due to closure/fire control crews working on the mt.
I think it actually gets better after this gate (see behind FJ's), but we had to stop and turn around here.
Still, a great little run.
Looks like you missed the hidden trail just behind the photographer... The trail I was talking about is back on the dirt road. It goes northward and winds around the mountain. The gate you see pictured leads to the ski lodge at Mt. Baldy. It never opens-except if you got an escort from the rangers.

D'oh!
We'll (that means you ) have to do that trail sometime. Sounds fun!
There were quite a few rangers and fire crews working on fire management and a lot of side trails were closed-maybe even the one you mention. Not sure.
Looking forward to the next drive though!
BTW-I looked all lover for Fjamming at the MG but did not locate you
