Job Hunt.. Round #2

Finals are soon so i can start work full time! (i bet you don't usually see people excited to work..) I need to buckle down and bring in some dinero.

Lets see some opinions people!

Ill be looking for maximum amount of hours per week. I can't handle these stupid 3-4-5 hour shifts at my current job. IT SUCKS.

Anyone have openings? Any 4x4 shops (hint hint) need a janitor or apprentice?

Re: Job Hunt.. Round #2

So, I take it you are done for the summer, and not graduating yet. So with that in mind, there are a few places that hire seasonally. The hotel/hospitality industry (think Hotel Coronado, Ritz/Carlton, etc) usually look for seasonal help, as do places like Disneyland, Knott's, etc. Good luck with the job hunting!!

YIKES!!

Funny Mike! Real Funny!

Just wait until you wake up to find your FJ on jackstands with no tires/wheels, and no front n rear suspension. And a cracked windshield. And a bent bandi mount.

Re: Job Hunt.. Round #2

What about fighting forest fires?? That's a job I wish I would have done when I was in school!! Up here you can make 30k in a season pretty easy, lots of mod money!!
I also wish I would have worked at a fishing lodge.

Oh well Safeway was good for me, at the end of the year I made the same as fighting fires and instead of taking others fishing I went 3 times a week myself!

Good luck with the job hunt!!

Some of this may have been said to be funny, but for real, your young, if you are looking for summer work, do something that is fun man, something to tell people about it when you get old like me....

I second that!! If you can find something you love that may pay a little less it is worth it. All too soon real life will catch up and kids a mortgage and car payments will be front and center. I've been fortunate to be self employed most of my life but that also comes with heavy responsibility when you have emps to think about. Good luck to you!
