Extending brake line and relocating bracket on rear control arms?

Just got a new set of All Pro rear control arms for my B-Day today thanks to my girl Jenn.Has anyone relocated or extended the rear brake line bracket on the rear control arms? .Thinking about relocating the bracket and extending the rear brake lines. It seems at full articulation the brake line and bracket get alot stress.Dont want to have it bind on anything.Worse thing is losing the brakes on a trail. Thanks for the help.

Not sure if you need to extend, I have never seen any problem. I will check it next time I am flexing on the trail to see just how much stress it gets.

Re: Extending brake line and relocating bracket on rear control arms?

I noticed that happening, too, when I replaced both upper and lower rear links. I had the cross-link bar disconnected to install the upper links, and the axle really dropped quite a bit; that's when I noticed the brake lines being tight.

I wouldn't think it would be a serious problem for the occasional flex (as the rubber takes up some slack) but if flexing a lot of times, and with the rubber lines getting more brittle with age, it could be a problem...

Stainless steel extended brake lines are an added piece of mind, and aren't they only $100?

They are from All Pro. I have them in the bag somewhere in the garage... I'll check to see if I have both front and back or just the back. 17" for the rears. I'll give you a call tonight.
