Re: Rescue Teaser

Yeah, i believe it has a shut off to prevent damage to the motor (or so says the manual).
10 rolls!?! Wow. Those roads that are just edged into the side of a mountain like that and have steep drop offs always scare me, even hiking trails that are made the same way.

Re: Rescue Teaser

Scary stuff! Good recovery though. I'm glad all worked out well.

Someone I was talking to this weekend said although the inclinometer shows 30 degrees as the max tilt, the vehicle could sustain up to 42 degrees without rolling. Perhaps the reason it did not roll over is because it still hadn't reached it's rollover angle and not the few bushes that were there. I wasn't there though so you all would be able to better determine this. The picture of his inclinometer is showing almost 30 but what was the actual reading (hard to tell from the angle of the picture)

In this case, the market on top showed it went passed 30, but the bottom looks like right around 30. I thought it was suppose to be the same? Can't figure it out.

Tried to open the door but woudn't open somehow. Dave came up to check on my condition, told him I gotta get out of here. Rolled down the window and climbed out. Dave was getting ready to pull me out in case it rolled during my escape.
I had a similar situation. I only had a potential 3 rolls not 15. My drivers side went over and I had to climb out the passenger side. When your at such an extreme angle the door becomes extremely heavy. I guess it's combined with the angle your working against.

Re: Rescue Teaser

I had a little off trail experience myself. We were at Harlan, KY. Foggy as heck that day the slope was about 60% all trees so I knew I would not go too far. Ever pray to hit a tree? Let me know if you figure out how to get those butt creases out of your seat. I have one in mine as well
