Re: Holy Jim, the Shakedown Trail.

Dom, I agree Holy Jim is a great little place. I have introduced many people to "offroad" there. You are correct in saying it is illegal to go off the main road.
Back when I had my 85 SR5 a friend of mine high centered coming back on to the main road. Before we could pull him off OCSD arrived e-braking on to the seen. I will preface this by saying I'm in support of law enforcement and rack this up to being in wrong place at the wrong time. We were all cooperative and the deputies repeatedly asked us where the gun was, there wasn't one. Long and the short of it they impounded his truck. Thank goodness my truck was aleady on the road. Forgive my lack of paragraphs and grammar, my BlackBerry is a pain to review.

There is one spot that they changed about ten years ago that we missed a great deal when we were younger. The concrete depression at second creek crossings was at one time one of the best places to air out a vehicle.

Dominic, did you head out there again? It rained today, can't you hear the mud calling you?

Re: Holy Jim, the Shakedown Trail.

i tried but the canyon was blocked off by the sheriffs dept.

The place doesn't really get muddy. Sandy dirt.. just lots o puddles, and go fast fun.
