Holy Carp! That was a scary run in. I'm like that when i'm not feeling well. Not much for doctors and the whole "It'll go away thing." Glad your friends were there for you and we wish you a speedy recovery. You're only 21 years old, too much left to do with your life. Godspeed.

Open pneumothorax is the second most common cause of "preventable battlefield death". Now treating open chest injuries with a procedure called needle chest decompression is taught to all soldiers in a high speed first aid class. That involves taking a very large needle and sticking it in someones chest. Scary that the Army has decided to teach this to all soldiers, but if it saves someones life I guess its okay.

His lung was about 50 percent collapsed and it was a good thing he went in when he did because otherwise he wouldnt be with us today. Anyway were going to the doctor now. OOOH! I can't wait to see what it looks like, coolbeans. Anyway, nice messaging you.

So was it spontaneous pneumothorax and their was no trauma involved? Not even something thrown and caught sort of thing (I'm also an EMT - clinical curiosity)

When bekka is over nxt time i will have he re to this...as i do not know anything other then it effing hurts lol

and still thanks 4 all the kind words! it warms me to see how many good people are left in socal, best part is its all the FJ that got us together...god i miss driving my baby lol...
