Forever Wild Work Party Day! Volunteers Needed!

Forever Wild needs some help clearing some brush, raking it up, and building some steel cages for four more cats they are rescuing at the end of August.

Our work party day has been scheduled for August 23rd.
START TIME: 10:00AM
END TIME: 4:00PM

It will likely still be very warm up in the high desert so please dress accordingly. Hat, boots, jeans, gloves and other appropriate attire is best as you'll be cutting and raking grass, building big steel cages, and doing general hard labor.

We don't expect anyone to stay more than three hours but if you're feeling good, we could always use the help after a little rest!

UPDATED AUGUST 10: LOWER LUNCH COST $6 (originally $8) PER PERSON
Tacos and all the sides!
You can dine with the animals!
Also, a jumping blow-up thing (what are they called anyway??) will be there for the kids. OUTSIDE of the animal area, of course!

We could use extra rakes, shovels, and related tools if you can bring them.

Directions are here:
Yahoo! Maps, Driving Directions, and Traffic

Forever Wild's website is here:
Forever Wild

If you are still interested after reading all about the animals, keep in touch. I will update this thread on or before August 15th to make sure you're still on board. Also, I'll let you know about any updates you might need.

Again, thank you SO much for taking some time out of your busy lives to help some very special cats.

Maureen Turner

Todd? That you? You've changed a little....

I just MIGHT be down for this. But don't we have something else planned for the 23rd? Either way, I'll be all in for the kitties if I can NOT work OT that day

Ha ha! Nice, Dave!

Just in case there is something on the calendar that day as well, please know that just a few hours is all anyone really needs to get out there and break a sweat. We don't want anyone seriously beat up!

If you're like me, 3 hours on rake duty and I'm FINISHED!!

Any amount of time is much appreciated!

M
