Blair Witch actions. Scary stuff to be wheeling at night. I'm glad you guys got out of it safely.
Whenever I had to get out of the car to spot or check the antenna on the roof, I was scared to look behind me

Since the forest is all burnt, it just looks evil and haunted at night.

sorry to hear about the bulge.Ya you are right it's not suppose to happend in the first place.Bad fender design by Toyota. It's a stress point in the car's body.Take it back to the dealer hopefully they could get you some new fenders.Glad you made it out of Miller in 1 piece.
Thanks Oscar, I loosened the fender and was able to pull it forward so I can open the passenger door now. Gotta find some time to visit the dealer.. not too sure about Glendale toyota's service tho.. ne experience?

Kev- Do not take the FJC to Glendale Toyota.Filled with a bunch of pricks/A$$ holes that find any excuse to void the FJC warranty. We gotta find you a nice dealer that can help with the bulges.

Does anyone know of a dealer that Kevin can take his FJC to repair the bulges? Thanks guys/gals...

Yeah... even talking to them on the phone, they are pretty rude. I don't order parts from them, even tho they are local. Might have to trek out to claremont toyota, have had good experience w/ them so far.

Re: LAST MINUTE 8/1/08 miller Jeep Trail NIGHT run.

What about Hamer Toyota, you know the Toyota Dealer / Service Dept. that took care of Kevin Necessary's (Team Necessary's) FJ's transmission "under warranty" after the Baja 1000 before the Taupo 1000 (it was on Speed Channel, "Two Roads to the Taupo 1000")?

Lightning might not strike twice, but at least it's worth a shot.

Re: LAST MINUTE 8/1/08 miller Jeep Trail NIGHT run.

Clairmount Toyota will be a lot more helpfull...worse scenario (it's way out west) Manhattan Beach Toyota are very FJ friendly and maybe worth giving them a call and talk to Gus the service manager and see if he's done or heard of any issues about the fenders bulging...mention that you've heard good things about thier service from the FJforum.

Good luck and keep us posted.

X2 on Clairmont. They've been very supportive of socal FJs.
