Anyone wanna go wheelin on a Monday or Thursday?

I've never been off roading. Never even thought about it til I bought my FJ and could'nt wait to run some chit over from the day I bought it. Now I've had it for 3 months and STILL have'nt been off road because my days off don't work for any of my friends.

So I just wanna tag along or get advice on a cool place to go for a newbie where I won't wreck my ride or get in the way. I NEED to see what this thing can do!

I live in Azusa and have an 08 auto 4x4, Demello sliders, All pro high clearance tail pipe, Icon stage 1 suspension and the stock BFG rugged trail ta's.

Anyone wanna meet up and show me how it's done or just advise me on a good place to go solo?

Re: Anyone wanna go wheelin on a Monday or Thursday?

I work in the El Monte/South El Monte area....we're close!

I'm off on Thursdays, so maybe we can get together with a couple of other guys and go wheeling! It will have to be a week or two more, if you can hold out that long! Otherwise, go to the Azusa ORP on Sundays if you can get there early enough. That's a good introduction to wheeling, and will get you to know your rig.

Have you tried posting on the So Cal FJ forums? SoCal FJ Cruiser Forums - Index You may get a few more responses....

Let me know when you want to go. Monday is a great day to go, no crowds. It is also my normal day off:-) As far as trail choice there are many, Lockwood/Miller, Cleghorn/2N17X, and everything in Big Bear are my favorites as of today.
