Azusa Cyn 9/27

Got there early.....around 8am but they didn't open the gate til 9:00



We were the 1st ones into the canyon....i found this great parking spot....

I got pulled out.....then i tried parking again:



the mud was great.....

this guy had 44s and a lot of horsepower......


it took the 3 of us w/ 3 winches to get him out




this was the only fj i saw today


this is us preparing lunch...yummy....don't forget your fire permit....

finished product...ummm good



back to wheeling...this guy is really stuck...broke a strap and the jeep trying to pull him out broke too


we three lined up and pulled him out


i decided to make one last bonsai run......



and that was my day at azusa.......hmmm only one fj....come on fellas....

That mud looks deceiving, it looks dry and hard on top but really sloshy underneath.

The mud cakes into the radiator and if you let it dry without a thorough cleaning you need to physically remove the radiator and soak it -- a real PITA.

Azusa can be fun splashing through the water in the Spring but I sincerely hate mud.
