As some of you may have known, Brian has been battling serious illness since September. What started as H1N1 turned into discovery of cancer. The stress has taken it's toll and even Brian's wife Jenn has fell ill and was hospitalized for dehydration and other issues. The good news is that the surgery has gone well and Brian will be able to go home in a week or so and will be treated as an outpatient. Please keep up with the prayers and well wishes. Brian is a patient at City of Hope and has a care page. It would be really cool if we all post something there!
Jenn seem to have also contracted swine flu. It means she won't be able to visit the hospital for a while. Fortunately, they know what it is and will be able to treat it appropriately. Hopefully they can get through this soon.

A New Week
Posted 13 hours ago
Thank you friends and family for your continued support, love, and prayers for Brian and Jenn as we all begin a new week.
Brian is still recovering from his surgery in the ICU, but is hopeful that he will be in his own room maybe as soon as tomorrow. He still has swelling in his legs, but the swelling in his chest has gone down significantly. Today the doctor cut back a bit on his pain meds and Jenn was pleased that he was more alert and talkative today. They even got him up and walking around a bit.
Jenn is working hard to keep Brian's spirits up as his hospital stay has to be wearing on him. Today Grandma brought the boys by to see him. Although they had to stand and wave from the door and were limited to a minute or so, I am sure they brightened Brian's day. Jenn also had several family pictures blown up to 8 X 10 and hung them in his room. If you have a few minutes to write Brian a quick note, or throw a card in the mail, please do so this week and send it to the City of Hope with attention to Brian. We know that with all of the love and support from Jenn as well as all of the other friends and family that have been keeping him company, the best doctors, and an amazing Heavenly Father, Brian is in the best of hands. Continue to pray for Jenn and the immediate family and for Brian's complete healing.
Oh yeah, and Jenn is wondering if anyone knows a computer guy....apparently she can't get Brian's laptop monitor working today!

The computer issue has been figured out and taken cared of. Hopefully Brian can go home in a week or so. Being away and under so much attention can be stressful. I'm sure he misses his family too.
