I am a writer for The Truth About Cars and I am working on an article comparing (head-to-head) the new 2007 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon to the Toyota FJ Cruiser. If you are interested in donating some of your time (about 1/2 day on a TBD Saturday in January) to show off your vehicle’s abilities at an off-road park near Dallas, please contact me through this site.
I would be happy to assist where I can. I am located in Frisco and could meet up with you on a Saturday of your choosing.
One other option, we have the largest Toyota of road event in Texas happening in mid-January. It would present an opportunity to see the FJC in action, but not just mine, there will be other FJCs at the park. Let me know where I can help and if this event may interest you.
I might be interested. In reading your two reviews, it seems that you already have an opinion. I will be leaving for Hong Kong at the end of January so after the 22nd I wouldn’t be available. My FJ is Stock, fully loaded, but stock.
Seems to me to get a true result you would need the same driver in both vehicles to ensure that it’s not just the difference in driving ability. I unfortunately have zero off-road experience (so far) but that’s one reason I bought it.
Thanks for your willingness to participate. I am still looking for a taker on the Jeep side (from the Lone Star Jeep Club forum). Will keep you posted…
