Best trails and camping

I live in Green Bay WI and want to roadtrip it to your neck of the woods. What are the best trails you have found open for camping. Iwant to come out for five days.Thanks

When are you going to make the trip? and.... Where in the south are you coming. If the timing is good you should be able to hookup with one of the trail runs that are already planned.

there's good free camping along the Paluxy River, off Hwy 205. Look for the low water crossing, and watch for the little roads that take you back down to the river. It's wooded, watch for stumps! All the campsites are primitive, and there are some with great swimming in the clear water. Dinosaurs walked around in the river, and fossils abound.[IMG][/IMG]

there are some rumors of trails in tyler im not sure where but lawdog said there are some decent trails over there thats just east of dallas and actually quite close to where i live

Check out "1st annual Chicago Toyota jamboree thread". In the head post there is a link for 4star/Wispering pines campground. I liked it alot and they have showers and a pool if you need. Around the corner from The Clifs INSANE TERRAIN park . And near the Illinois river and lakes to fish is you are into that.
