Okay, I'll bite.

What's a Hurricane Cruiser, and how do you become a member?

It's a group of folks here in New Orleans that have FJs. We met in January and are looking to form a more formal group that has been dubbed the Hurricane Cruisers. You are more than welcome to drive over and join us. We are looking to go do a trail ride in the next month or so.

Re: Hurricane Cruisers!!! Unite and be Heard

Guys, we are BRAND new here in New Orleans. Got a few folks from the forum together for a meet and greet and had a ball. 15 FJs showed up. We had such a good time!!!!! I am trying to get the guys back together so we can do another meeting but this time with a trail ride!!!! I think they are all sleeping. I am going to have to PM them to send them an ALARM!!!!

They get Dixie Brewing Co. running again? I'll be more than happy to make an attempt at driving over. I'll DOUBLE my efforts if there is any Blackened Voodoo at the end of the drive!

I'll make myself an honorary member, if it would meet with your agreement, since I spent some time as an observer in a number of helos that flew over N.O. and the surrounding areas after the "recent unpleasantless".

Re: Hurricane Cruisers!!! Unite and be Heard

Can I be a charter member? I've drank Hurricanes until I threw up on the Lake Ponchetrain bridge doing 75 mph while my Blackhawks jacket went Flappaflappaflappaflappa in the wind as I tried to clear the vehicle with my projectile vomitting. I've shucked 'em, sucked 'em, and ate 'em raw. I've fished for trout and caught an alligator in the bayous. I have cajun (French decent) relatives living in the burbs there.

... and I have FJ Cruiser Club stickers.

That should amount for something?

Well, in THAT case, I would be honored to take the opportunity to join you folks for a bit of fun. Just give us a time and place...
