Arkansas Camping

Any Arkansas FJers have any recommendations on camping for thanksgiving week? Gonna try to make the Arkansas/LSU game and do some camping.

Re: Arkansas Camping

I use to live in AR and now live in LA. Wish I could say the Razorbacks are going to win.... but based on how they are doing, it probably won't happen. Anyhow, Albert Pike is always a good place. I just got back from the Hot Springs area which is always nice. Plus in Hot Springs, you can go to the Superlift Park. Superlift Off-Road Vehicle Park at Hot Springs, Arkansas*·*www.orvpark.com

Re: Arkansas Camping

Camp in the Ozark National Forest (you can stay at a campground or backcountry camp) and go HERE. If you stay at a campground, Gunner Pool is nice.

Or you could camp along the Buffalo National River - Steel Creek and Kyle's Landing are my two favorite campgrounds there, both near Jasper, AR.

Enjoy!

Re: Arkansas Camping

Hot Springs and the nearby Ouachita Mountains are pretty awesome to explore.
