Trail Team ride 9/16 at Beasley Knob

Tim Scully and the East Trail Team will be at Beasley Knob near Blairsville, GA next Saturday September 16th. Here is the link to his post on IH8MUD:

http://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=109647

I'll be there, my brother will be there in his 80, and I am sure others.

Come check it out if you can! We will be wheeling and Beasley can be challenging, but it's not too far from Atlanta and may be a good time to get out and see the Trail Team in action and learn a bit about what your truck can do. If don't want to wheel your truck, there are usually seats available with other people for the ride.

You should have at least sliders, trail tires, and preferably a winch to make this run.

Re: Trail Team ride 9/16 at Beasley Knob

Heather, I think I will try to make this trip. I gotta get up early on a Saturday...oh well, I'm sure it will be worth it. Now I 've just got to convince my girlfriend to get up early!

Thanks for the heads up on this trip. I read the ih8mud posts, so it looks like the trails will be open.

Do you think I will be able to tackle Beasley's trails with my stock tires? I was able to do this with them...

Glad to hear that you are planning on coming! If you (or anyone else) wants to carpool up, we can meet and drive up together. I am in Norcross.

As for your tires, don't worry about it. It's all about getting out and getting dirty! We'll have all the recovery gear necessary (I have a winch, etc. and many of the other trucks will too).

See you on Saturday!

Cancelled

The Beasley Knob trip is CANCELLED because the trails are closed. Please see this thread for other events in the SE this weekend.

For those in GA, we may be getting a run together to go local...
