Just a heads up. I ran across this about Croom.

It says a lot of areas are off limits and could get your truck impounded... Yikes. Not trying to scare anyone off.

It is three years old. So take it for what it's worth.

Have Fun.
There are rangers at the entrance. I am sure that we will be able to ask where to go.

What's the final destination and are we meeting at the rest stop??
The rest stop area is also fine with me, if someone could tell me how to get there. I will be coming from St Pete (275)

Re: Tampa bay area, Orlando (FLORIDA) Anyone???

Just head north on 275 and it will turn into 75. Keep going. The rest stop is between highway 52 and highway 50. I'm assuming we'll meet on the northbound side. Alternately, there is a McDonalds, Wendy's, Dennys... etc at the exit for highway 50 that we could meet at. We should get a final count of who is going and all PM our cell numbers to one person so that no one gets left behind.

Re: Tampa bay area, Orlando (FLORIDA) Anyone???

Looks like Croom might be a bad idea:

"Off-road use within park is restricted to motorcycles and ATVs. All other vehicles must remain on designated roads."

http://www.floridatrailriders.org/articles/croom.htm

Croom is much bigger than the motorcycle area. It's a wildlife management area too. Maybe we should go to the Ocala National Forest or find somewhere else.

Ocala is about 85 miles from Tampa. It's a bit of a haul.
