Dear Grandpa Smurf (Blue FJ40 in Lawrence, KS)
Dear Grandpa,
While visiting Lawrence this weekend for homecoming we saw you driving down 9th Street and turn towards campus. Papa Smurf and the baby smurfs were with me and we tried to flag you down. We weren't looking for back child support - just a family photo. I know that we may have looked like a stalker but really our intentions were good.
We've been dying to ask you some questions. Were you a flower child in the 60s? What did you think of disco? I won't even ask what you thought of Miami Vice. We hope that you are proud of the new generation.
Well, gotta go smurf on one of the kids. We'll try to make homecoming again next year and we'll look for you around campus.
