Re: Atlanta FJ beginners trail ride?

I'd like to go, if date permits. I have a stock FJ: steel wheels, factory tires,
A-TRAC, locker and side airbags -- nothing fancy. Haven't figured out what tires, etc. to go with yet to improve its off-road performance.

Sounds like a great idea!

You'll be fine. You will be able to do a lot of trails with stock tires. You won't be able to climb the rock ledges without a lift and mud terrains, but you will learn a lot from Dan with a stock rig. I'm still running my OEM Dueler HT's and my FJ has impressed the hell out of me.

Re: Atlanta FJ beginners trail ride?

Looks like I will have detail on the location in November (owner is out of country). We can plan the roster, etc. and formalize the date, etc at that time.

Msduncan and I are not the same person!
We both have FJs
We are both named Scott
We are the same age
We both live just south of Birmingham
Both of our wife's have family from the same one horse town in Florida
We both love Alabama football
We both like to run dogs when we hunt.

Never mind. We might be twins!
I don't know. Have we ever REALLY seen them together? Could be like Janet and Michael...Jackson, I mean.

Re: Atlanta FJ beginners trail ride?

OK, for those of you with some time to kill on Saturday, in Dan's stead I will be leading a trail ride (very casual and pretty easy) on Saturday. For those of you that don't know, I am Dan's sister. We will meet up at the Original Pancake House on Cheshire Bridge Road at 9:00 am for some yummy pancakes. Bring lunch so you have it on the trail.

All levels are welcome and I can spot you through anything you will come across. Just post up if you want to come.

Dan will work on the ride at Dawsonville for later...but for now, I can't wait to get back out there so let's hit it on Sat!

Here is the address for the OPH:

2321 Cheshire Bridge Road
Atlanta, Georgia 30324
404-633-5677
