Get What YOU want!

SET and every other part of the nation has the ability to ORDER the vehicle you want. U.S. built vehicles take 4-6 weeks and Japanese takes 90-120 days. Go to the dealer that you believe is the most user friendly and tell them EXACTLY what you want and that you are willing to wait. If the price is agreeable order it. If you want something other than what you see in the Buyatoyota.com or your dealer's website inventory search this is what you will need to do.

Also, The port options can be changed, as Baldy has said in several posts. So the ToyoGuard, TRD wheels, etc. can be taken off if the vehicle has not reached port yet.

The biggest advice is find a dealer that is willing to work with you to get what you want.

Re: Get What YOU want!

I think this has been commented on but.... If an FJ was ordered loaded from Japan, i.e.- all Factory options including running boards, and then Rock rails are requested as a Port installed accessory, what happens? Does the consumer get charged with both? Does the Port installer remove the boards and add the rails? Or can rails only be added to FJs without the factory added boards?

Re: Get What YOU want!

In this case, yes the customer would actually pay for both. I don't know if they will actually send you the running boards boxed up or not. When we add Port wheels to a vehicle with factory alloys they send the factory's also. I would assume they can send them also if you ask for them. May come out better buying the rock rails from the dealer as they are an easy install and you would have both if you even want the original boards.

Re: Get What YOU want!

toyodlr, you're a car salesperson correct? and you'd like me to believe you're a car buying counselor as well. nice angle but Baldy has used this before and now he's in our vaporization chamber waiting for the pressure drop.
we don't coddle sales people around here dude. But stick around if you can handle it.
BTW, a friend of mine "ordered" an MT V6 Tundra a few years ago. Nine months after he ordered it he finally got one off the lot of another dealer.

Re: Get What YOU want!

Make sure that if you get the TRD wheels and the UP package comes with alloys that you tell the dealer you want the alloys! If ya don't, either they or port will keep them.

I am kinda anxious to hear the Exhaust port has available. My 4Runner has TRD headers and a Borla and it sounds a lot meaner than stock, I bet the 4L is gonna be much better.

WOW.... FLAME ON! Johnny!

btw, toyodlr, buyatoyota.com does not list the FJC as an model option, yet. I guess this is to allow the requisite gouging.
