Well, considering that nearly 60,000 FJC's have been sold and there are only between 10-11,000 members on the forum, it's safe to assume that not everyone out there who owns an FJC is as in love with them as we are. I always get a chuckle out of those FJC owners who feel slighted by others who don't appear to be "friendly" while driving by at a distance. Who knows, maybe they are watching the road instead of who is driving in proximity to them. As for me, I always try to wave, but never get discouraged if the wave is not returned. Being friendly should never have to be a recipricated action...but it's nice when it does happen

The first thing my mother taught us kids was the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I've practiced it all my life and it has never let me down. I have a renewed interest in human beings as everyone associated with this FJ thing seems to be genuine with the nice and genuine with the help and suggestion portions of life. There are always a few outsiders but we all have our bad days. I've met more nice people associated with an FJ cruiser in whatever way than I've met in the last ten years! It is very refreshing!
I used to wave at every FJ I saw. Then I realized that with the slight tint of the windows I had no idea if they waved back or not, or if they even saw me. Now I do the double "highbeam flick" and get much better results.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.
Mine is a FJ SE, and I have to X2 Avandermast and Dom.
This week I was in Winter Park and a voodoblue passed right in front of me and didn't even winked! People don't understand the Legend behind these vehicles. It's a shame not knowing what they're driving!
I have a TRD SE, and I waived at a guy in a Ti FJ here in Palo Alto yesterday. I think I scared the guy. LOL!
Last week I was at a stoplight next to a woman in a Ti FJ with Oregon plates. I tried to waive, but she refused to look over at me. Again, maybe she thought I was some kind of nut.
We'll see if things change next month when I relocate to the great state of Colorado!
I got a SE also and i just dont even try anymore cuz i got ignored all the time
so now if they do a gesture i return the same but with a bigger smile,
some just stare, so i Know there is something about the SE's that others wont accept.
kinda like the black sheep or the ugly duckly.
i was set for a mono color Vodoo (all blue) but the lil black one looked so lonley and it was $2000 cheaper at the sticker...and yes i got it cheaper than sticker price.
