Upstate Cruisers Over The Mountain Tour - Aug 10-12 at Tellico

Thats right it's time to start talking about it. 2 weeks away.

Who: Upstate Cruisers, Toyota Trail team (Woody), STLCA

When: August 10th-12th

Where:McNabb Campground

How much: Nothing! We will reserve a campsite for you at McNabb group campground if you would like to stay there. It is not required you stay there though you will miss out on dinner and the giveaways. Right now we are asking for 20 dollars per tent as most of this will go for food Friday night and possibly Sat night as well as you 3 nights of available camping. Mcnabb is about 20 min from the trails. It can hold around 60 vehicles and 100 people. We plan on having the big UC canopy there as well as wood for a nice camp fire all weekend. There are two toilets there. Come join us, hang out and talk cruisers all weekend.

The Down Low: Plan to camp Friday and Saturday. We are working with STLCA Friday around 12. And then on Sat putting up some trail head signs. But plan on being able to have plenty of time to do what you want. This event is for you to enjoy. We will plan(on having at least 3 classified rides on Sat. Hardcore (those who don't mind damage and have at least one if not two lockers and 32" or bigger tires, then there will be our usual ride through 4, 5, 6 in no particular order. And then we will have a scheduled night ride. Depending on the # of confirmed people at the event each of these rides could be split into more than one group. If you don't feel like wheeling don't worry there are plenty of people you can ride with and don't feel presured if you don't want to go out on the trails. This weekend is for you to do what you want to do. We will try to make it as hassle free as possible.

Food:My special Buffalo wings Friday night with french fries, carrots and celery along with blue cheese and ranch dipping sauces. Hot, mild, hot teriyaki, teriyaki will be the flavor. Also we will have JP around to make us a couple gallons of Rotel dip. Dinner Sat is still to be decided but it could be anything from burgers to steak depending on what we have money wise.

Camping:McNabb will be our home base this time. We have found that it is just better and gets us all closer together. It has a limit of 100 people and 60 vehicles. Everything has been taken care of. My plan is to travel up Thursday and reserve the canopy site. Sit out relax and enjoy the stars. If you want to come join me you are more than welcome. Then hang out till lunch for those coming early to help with trail maint.

Goodies: We will have a t-shirt made this year. They will be available 2 weeks before the event as well as at the event. Forest Green 100% cotton 6 oz. Jerzees brand.

The OTMT "yield sign" says: "The most excitement I've experienced at 2 MPH", comes complete with emblazoned UC logo!

LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE!!!!!! $20 each. They will be distributed at OTMT

To pay for these shirts please use the UC paypal account. UC@828rugs.com Specify how many and what size you want.

Also we will have giveaways and a few raffle items any money left over will be donated to SFWDA or BRC. As they are the main driving foce behind keeping our trails open.

Who else: Prospective members, and we have asked STLCA to join us for this event. The Eastern Toyota Trail Team will also be joining us for this one. If you are not aware Woody (Brian) is in this group. He is the owner of IH8MUD.

Who is in charge: Our former President Alex Garcia has stepped up to the plate to organize this. I will be his second in command and club cook.

Paying for camping and food: Right now it is 20 per tent. But plan on paying or getting someone to pay for through paypal. It's a heck of a lot easier for me to manage. Who, when and how much.

More details to come in the following days.

If you have any questions you can e-mail [email]marshall@828rugs.com[/emaim] me or post them below. No question is to stupid, just take a look at a few of mine and you Will understand.

How about a few Florida Cruisers?

Oops...my mistake. I thought this was October 12th.

Pardon me again, it appears my presence is requested....

FlWakeBd,
You made them jealous! Let's see the trail team conquer Guard Rail without the help of Jerry Dixon. Forget it...Jerry is going...we need to take the 40 up for this and spectate! Check your pm's. K9Crazy said we could join in on any of their runs anytime. I can't wait to meet her and Dan. Why don't you post this up and see how many we can get?

Come on up y'all! We have a contingent of folks in the club that are in Florida...and we are in GA. So where you are doesn't matter. We have an amazing group of people that get together to wheel, wrench, hang out, whatever. I do suggest that y'all check out that forum link on MUD since that's our official site. It has a lot more info than I posted here.

Can't wait to wheel with y'all!
