July 22nd Central FL Mod day for Cruiser Jam and Tellico
Sunday July 22nd - Central Florida Mod Day
In preparation for the Cruiser Jam and the "Upstate Cruisers Over The Mountain Tour - Aug 10-12 at Tellico" I am going to host a Mod day in Orlando.
FLWakeBd and Archie have enough on their plate and as long as no one needs any heavy metal work my garage should work out.
My main need is getting my OME suspension setup. I am staying with stock tires for now so no body chop yet. I am willing to help someone with lights, CBs, Rear DIFF SCUBA mods, ATRAC hacks along with VSC hack are all possible.
I am south of the Florida Mall and about 3 miles north of Gatorland.

I offered you and Archie the 40 first! The cruiser-gods have been mad at me for letting it sit for 5 years.
That is correct and Thank You! One 40 in pieces is enough for now. It will be a great project for Jake and Karl. If you need a hand with your lift just let me know and we will figure something out.

I wish we (ATLFJCs) could come down and help. We have lifts down to about an hour and a half of labor, a dozen hamburgers, and a significant amount of time for beer drinking.
If I can make a suggestion...get your springs put on your fronts before you get started. the spring compressors are crappy and unless you have FJCRUSR there, it's really pretty tough. Any tire place can do them for you and it shouldn't cost more than $50 or so.

Re: July 22nd Central FL Mod day for Cruiser Jam and Tellico
I would love to get the springs setup as they are just sitting in my house. How can I do this when you need the top strut holder from the truck?
Everything I have read indicates that you have to remove the current stock springs, compress them and then remove the top strut holder. (plate with three holes for mounting bolts) The top strut holder is then used to make the OME setup work on the cruiser.
Any insight would be helpful.

correct, you have to have the strut removed for the top plate. Research where you can get it done, remove, and head over there while the volunteer labor does the rear. In the time it takes to setup the front at the shop the volunteers can finish the entire rear and then you are done with the front in short order upon your return.

No, you are right. You do need to top plate. I just meant do that first then get those things professionally mounted. Sorry, that wasn't very clear!
