Just thought I'd pass this on. I just gave my ARB Roof Rack that recieved some damage back to Old Dominion (shipping company) here in Orlando. Basket was in decent shape with a couple nicks and scratches and the adapter brackets were bent beyond my liking. I asked the driver where it was going and he said they are going to salvage and probably sell it to someone that would pay what they thought was a fair price. Said it would probably go for around 200-300 bucks! Call OD if your interested!! They just picked it up last night so it's still fresh at their dock. Thought I'd at least give you guys a first crack at it before it goes to someone else. Their number is (407)852-5670 locally and (800)368-1925 toll free. Good luck!
Gwagg, may wanna talk to Alicia..she was the one that processed the claim and had someone pick it up. I will PM you some info that should help them track down the item.
OD has a way that they dispose of equipment that does not involve talking with individuals. I have run into a deadend. Thanks for the lead it seemed like a great way to snag a roof rack.

It is not the size of the man's truck but what it can do!
Damaged freight is normally returned back to shipper for credit against the claim.
Most freight lines have a central location for their Salvage Stores, but most items are sold in bulk to salvage company by the skid or truckload. That way they can unload all of the junk damages.
