That blows. Are you still planning on going the 5-7 Dec?

For those of you who do not know the North Meets South 4 event is planned for 5-7 Dec at Uwharrie. Go to this link to find out more.

Re: Where are all of the NC FJer's

First i would like to comment on Uhwarrie...

Back in May, while I was deployed, my wife and her brother took MY FJ up there with the Land Rovers and they were talking all kinds of crap because apparently Toyota is way inferior to that of a fine piece of British machinery...(as they sip their wine and brush the dust off their loafers as they enter their vehicles)...anyway...Thomas (the brother-in-law) was supposed to be a trail boss because he is pretty experienced from his Jeep days. They also suggested finding them a Rover sticker for the ride. I think not, how dare they!! So he decided to show them all up and did every trail they did and only put it in 4 low twice for the whole weekend. Keep in mind the FJ was all stock at the time. After an hour or so of wheeling, they all got out to stretch their legs and he made it a point to mention that he had been in 2WD the whole time. My wife sent me a DVD of some of the things they did. I was so proud of my FJ. Not saying Uhwarrie isn't challenging, just depends on who's driving I guess.

Now on to the real reason I'm posting...

Is there a club with a member base closer to eastern NC? I don't mind joining up with UC or even towards the western part of the state. It's just being in the military, my off time is limited and it would hardly be worth it to drive a great distance for just a day or 2. My wife does the club thing with the Mini Coopers up in Charlotte, and drives up there every other weekend or so, but she gets badass gas mileage so it's not that big of a deal. I would love to be part of a club and organized events but the downside is travel time.
