Where are all of the NC FJer's

It used to be that I would see plenty of people from North Carolina here on the thread going to Uhwarrie and such. I know we have plenty around, but I have not heard much lately. Are people losing interest in this forum or what? I was at Uhwarrie a few weeks back on a Sunday and did not see any FJ's out there. I saw a whole lot of jeeps and ATV's. Don't get me started on those ATV's! Anyway, just thought I would check to see if anyone was interested in doing something sometime.

Re: Where are all of the NC FJer's

I'm here. Was deployed for a while until I was injured so now I'm home. Gotta love that. I just have to say that 4 wheelin' is so much more relaxing when people aren't trying to kill you.

I'll be at GWNF which will be my October trip, but I'm up for something in November. Uwharrie? In Sept I hit Gulches OVP just past Laurens, SC and had a good time depsite some metal carnage.

Anyone else for Uwharrie in Nov?

Doug

I'm here! I haven't been on the trails yet. Right now all I have are summer shoes. I need to find some hiking boots

Once I get some steelies and off road tires I will be making a trip out there. I know that GophrNtz is itching to get out there now that he has finished his repairs....

We all look busy don't we? Been to the outer banks twice in the last month........FJ's everywhere. Oregon inlet and extreme north Hwy 12. Mostly fishing and sitting after working the last few months straight. We're here, just need to get organized...........good luck.

Re: Where are all of the NC FJer's

I've been working too much and haven't been able to get a weekend free since Aug. I'm interviewing (the infamous "call back" interview) for a new position which would virtually guarantee me weekends off. Let's hope it comes through...

Re: Where are all of the NC FJer's

You guys and gals just missed a ride last weekend at URE with ONSC. You really need to get up with them. If your in the western part of NC or close you need to go check out Upstate Cruisers. Our new President lives in Asheville so don't just think of us as a SC only club we have members from all over. UC and ONSC our North Meets South ride in URE around the first of Dec.

UC has a ride tomorrow on the Blue Ridge Parkway from Pisgah to Mt Mitchell.
We have our club run in our honey hole in Cullowhee, NC at the end of this month.

About 25% of UC is comprised of FJCs and with 130 members and growing that is a lot of FJCs.

So go over to our club section of IH8MUD and check us out. Also look into the ONSC section they are an up and coming club and a good group of people based out of the triangle area.

Thanks. That's good info. I'm very glad to here there is a club in the triangle area since I am not far from there. And I also spend a lot of time in the Spartanburg area.
