Totally agree on awseome part of the country

Your truck should be parked on the rock not in front of the rock.
lol

I like they way you got a matching tent also! But shouldn't the overhead tarp be white?

Actually that was unintentional. My dad gave me that ancient Eureka tent he'd never used. And I didn't want a blue tarp, because they're so common at campgrounds, but that's the only color Wallyworld had in the large size. I doubt that tent will last long though. It'd been stored for 8 years in a hot Florida garage.

It's a Eureka. It will last for ever and if it doesn't, they will fix it for you.

You're right in that they do have a good warranty. Unfortunatley, there are limitations:

"Eureka! shall not be responsible for the natural breakdown of materials that occurs inevitably with extended use (e.g., Ultraviolet (UV) light damage on tents, exhausted zippers), or defects caused by accident, abuse, alteration, animal attack, storm damage, misuse or improper care."

UV is the big killer, especially in the south.

Re: Florida Holloween Camping & Wheelin Oct 26 & 27

We had one when I was growing up. One time after camping we were letting it dry out in the back yard not staked down. The wind blew it into a blackberry patch in the empty field next door. It ripped a bunch of holes in it and tore one screen pretty good. My parents sent it in expecting to pay for repairs. They fixed it for free and even sent it back on their dime. I'm sure things may be different nowadays, but that left a pretty good impression on me. I abused it in my early 20s and it's still being used today by my cousin and his family.

That's impressive! Mine's got a 10" horizontal rip that appeared the second time I set it up. I've got it covered in duct tape on both sides for now, but maybe I'll send it in to them at the end of the camping season and see if they'll fix it. If they won't, I'll pick up one of those newer Eureka N!Energy models I've had my eye on.

Depends on if Dom is going and bringing his mentor the mexican burrito dog, your puppy would not be safe.
