Ashville, NC

I'm going to Ashville in a couple of weeks for a few days. Can anyone tell some so good places to off road a little or some nice State or National Forest back roads in the area?

Thanks

Re: Ashville, NC

About 10-12 mi SW of Asheville, off both the blue ridge parkway and US 276, there's quite a few rough national forest trails in Pisgah National Forest that have some great scenery.

The FJC really shines in the mountains!

Re: Ashville, NC

if there are any close by, i have not found them here. closest would be in hot springs nc i guess. otherwise most places i find are away from this area. they took most of them and closed them or built a house. hope this helps!
