Go up to Ellijay. There are some great trails to ride on that are not very hard. I can give you GPS coordinates to a great mountain ride up there if you want.
The trail takes you up and over a mountan, all from one of the main highways in Ellijay. The trail may take you an hour, but it is a nice ride, and you may have to put it into 4lo a couple of times. It should be a good beginner trail.
Take 400N to hwy 53 and take a left or North
Follow that through Dawsonville and vere to the right onto 183 and go North
Go left onto Hwy 52 and ask someone to tell you where the Old Mooney Store is
Once you get to it, just stay on the road that the Mooney Store is and it is the start of the trail.
Where did you guys buy your FJ's? I bought mine at Atlanta Toyota after the Mall of Georgia Toyota had a $3,000 mark up.
Thanks FJC.
I bought mine at Toyota Mall of Georgia at MSRP. They wanted a $3000 markup, ended up calling Atlanta Toyota while sitting at the desk of the sales lady at TMOG. Atlanta Toyota said they would sell an FJ at MSRP, at that point TMOG relented. The manager said they waived the markup because of the mix up mentioned in my previous post. Who knows if thats true or not.
Ringgold here!! I am very much going to check out that trail in Ellijay. I hope it is a beginner trail as I have never been real offroading. Is it hard to find without GPS? Where does it come out? How long?
saw a couple of kids drivin a voodoo at the Braves game last tuesday......didn't seem to know what they had in their hands...it was a "gift" from his daddy.....
My name John and I'm in Atlanta, new to the area, so if there are going to be any get togethers let me know. I don't mind driving in my new FJC up north.
I'm from Middle Ga. Man it got hot and humid quick here. I don't believe there are any trails around here. Of course...there is not much of anything around here.
