CALLING ALL FJ'rs IN THE NORFOLK/VIRGINIA BEACH AREA

Just wanted to see if there was anyone in the area. I've only seen a few FJCs (all stock with Soccer Mom's driving). If anyone knows of some good trails and wants to go some time then shout back or PM me.

Re: CALLING ALL FJ'rs IN THE NORFOLK/VIRGINIA BEACH AREA

Hey There,

You're right, there are a lot of bone stock FJs around hampton roads, especially near Ghent, where there are just streets filled with FJs and Land Rovers that have hauled no more than the weekly grocery list.

I just finished building up my FJ, and my buddy has a built up Land Rover D90. February 8, 9, 10 four of us are going to Shoe Creek over the other side of Virginia for the weekend to go camping and offroading.

Then, the first or second weekend in March we'll probably go down to the outerbanks for some beach driving and camping. Let me know if you're interested. The more the merrier.

Re: CALLING ALL FJ'rs IN THE NORFOLK/VIRGINIA BEACH AREA

Welcom to the forum. Its always nice to see some locals. If you're ever interested in doing some runs let me know. I went with a group a couple weeks back (we're all in the military) and we had a blast (about 3 hour drive from VA Beach). At the time I made the run with my stock FJ (12K mile tires) and she did perfect. Since then I've added a 3" lift, new suspension and tires. I was thinking of trying to put together a run in late april. So just let me know if you're interested.

Re: CALLING ALL FJ'rs IN THE NORFOLK/VIRGINIA BEACH AREA

Let me know if you guys do anything. My FJ is dirty as hell because I haven't washed since I got it last year and I try to drive through every mud hole I can find. I am looking to do some light wheeling around Hampton Road. I say light until I get my suspension and wheels later on this year.

Your PM was restricted, so I'll try this way. It might be to short note but there is a caravan (3FJ's and some others) head to the outer banks this weekend (Friday around noon - Ocracoke Island). If you're interested in doing some beach driving & camping let me know and I'll fill you in on the details.
