ATL FJC's OME install help....

I am gonna offer up my man card and ask for help. Just ordered my OME lift from Metal-Tech, should be here next week. If anyone can help with the install here in the Atlanta area I would greatly appreciate it....Oh, and I have some dough left over for beer if interested.

Re: ATL FJC's OME install help....

I'd be down if i lived closer. ALL of the mods i have done would be 10X easier if i were to do them a second time. This one to be included. Just because someone else will ask, do you have tools to do the install. Like wrenches, jacks, jackstands, air wrenches, etc. And do you have a spring compressor. I took mine to a local spring, shock auto place and they put the cap from the old spring, shock onto my new ome for 50$. (front both the front springs)

Re: ATL FJC's OME install help....

The ATLFJCs have installed quite a few OMEs. I haven't myself but would be happy to lend a hand however I could.

I'll help!
I think my spring compressor could take some more abuse.
Where and when?
There's a trail ride on the 16th with the GA Cruiser...

Re: ATL FJC's OME install help....

I live near Loganville, Snellville area on the East side of the city. Out in the woods. My brother-in-law has a auto shop in Oxford ( Covington ) with a lift and all the tools we need, but it is a haul for everyone. As far as personal tools I don't have much, But if I had a must have list I could procure what I we need to do it elsewhere. The lift should be here next Wednesday, so just whenever you guys can do it, I am at your mercy......

Re: ATL FJC's OME install help....

We usually do it at BMTHiker's work (if he is able to get us in). Has a lift, etc.

We have all the tools, not a problem. I am happy to help if we get it closer to me...I am gimpy right now so I will be slower than usual

Re: ATL FJC's OME install help....

Happy to do it. How about Feb 15th (Friday) after work? I've been meaning to remove and re-clock my front driver coilover to the correct position anyway. This is an opportunity to do that. I did the passenger side by myself when I got that replacement shock from OME last month. It went easier than I anticipated. I guess experience pays off. Any and all are welcome to come help or watch and learn. We could have teams for each axle and get this done in 45-60 minutes.

FYI, my garage at work is at S.Atlanta Road near I-285 (Smyrna).
