Anyone from Morgantown,WV area?

Title speaks for itself, would like to check out other fjers rides in my area.

Would really like to meet someone locally who has a lifted fj who can pull in my garage to see if it fits. Im not sure if my 3 inch lift will fit in my garage and I want to be sure before I put it on. Anyone in the area that could help I would greatly appreciate it and compensate you for your time.

I'm not from your area, but do have a 3in lift. And it fits in a standard garage door. I'll measure the height and get back to you. I'd like to explore the trails around the Ohiopyle area some time. Have you ever been up around there? It's not too far from you. Just wondering what its like.
Thanks

So funny you mentioned that, I am going there for a radio control rockcrawler competition on Sunday. If there is some daylight left I am going to take the fj out on the prowl!

I am pretty sure it will fit, a guy sent me a pic of one in a townhouse garage with a six inch lift. I will let you know on ohiopyle. Later and thanks if you do make the measurement.

Yeah my garage door measures 6ft 11in. Maybe this will help. Let me know about Ohiopyle. If you're free on Saturday make the drive up to Beaverun. It's near New Castle, PA. They're having what they call a "Dirt Weekend" trail rides and such. Sounds interesting.

Do a forum search for Beaverun for the thread. It's a stock/newbie friendly event/facility. Probably a good place to practice your skills. They even teach classes there!

If you have a roof rack it is 6'7" high. A 3" lift should put you at 6'10". A nice little cheat is to see if your antenna hits anything when you start to enter a garage or anywhere that is low clearance. The stock antenna sits level with the roof rack.

Re: Anyone from Morgantown,WV area?

I live on Deep Creek in Western Maryland and do a fair amount of wheeling around here in the state parks and some private land. I'd be glad to have you over this way or come to Morgantown if you have some spots to run. I've never looked at Ohiopyle, nor have I had a chance to get to Beaverun. I am leaving for Utah on Saturday and will be back April 1 - would love to meet up after then....

Yeah I grew up in Preston County so I am familiar with deep creek. I am going to ohiopyle Sunday for a radio controlled rockcrawler meet but dont know if I have time to take the fj up the trails. Will ask around while I am there about the local trails. A trip to deep creek one day would be fun and if you could show me around even better. Later

Re: Anyone from Morgantown,WV area?

I realize my post is really late here, but I'm in Morgantown and would love to hit some trails some weekend. I'm definitely a novice, as my FJ has only seen pavement and gravel.
