Unhappy OT: Here we go again. It's that time of the year.

Floridians, those of you in the Gulf Coast States, and East Coast FJer's, is everyone ready for the 2006 Hurricane Season?

Anyway, I thought I'd share some of my favorite links with my fellow FJ Crew:

Doppler Radar for any region:

The National Hurricane Center:

I always keep 35 Gallons of Gasoline, on hand, year round. That's why I'm very interested in the FJ "Fuel Can Mod" as seen at the SEMA show.

So, I'm guessing the smoking jacket and the cigars are a no-no in your garage?

Hey, at least we won't have to worry about getting stuck in traffic. Pop it in 4 wheel drive and create your own evacuation route!!!

Tony - additives to gasoline help stabilize gum formation. However, gasoline does have a shelf life. One of the components that makes up blended gasoline contains olefins. Olefins react with air over time and form gum. I recommend that you pour from the containers into your vehicles every 6 months, and then refill containers. If the gasoline in the containers has been there 12 months or more, I would suggest that you mix one 5 gallon container with a tank fill-up. Dilution is good in this case. As gasoline destabilizes and forms gum the color becomes a darker yellow. My 2 cents.
