I posted this in the other thread, but thought I'd copy it here in hopes that more people will see it...And as to the comments on the easiness of trails 4 & 5, we do all of our trail maintenance at Tellico using 60s vintage 5 ton Military Dump Trucks and while they will climb the old ledges on 5 and the former ledges at Fain's, they tend to tear up the rear track arm suspension. So in an effort to spend our time fixing issues on the trails rather than the fixing the trucks, changes had to be made.

Change a couple of track arms on those beasts on the trail and I think you'll agree! Anyway, see below for my comments and thanks again to those who attended and to those who didn't we hope you can make it next year!

Well I don't get over here much, but thought I snoop around to see what ya'll thought of our "last" GSMTR, well STLCA's anyway. Since we are passing the torch to Upstate Cruisers, we'll actually get to enjoy it next year!! Upstate has some great ideas and I believe the membership to pull them off. Ya'll make sure to check out their site to see what they have in store.
Thanks to all your comments! It really means a lot that you folks had a great time, and made Mo jealous in the process.
I want to personally thank Rick, Terry, Heather, Mo and ALL those that pimped the event in the other thread. I didn't see it till tonight and for that I have to apologize for not thanking you at the event! You guys truly helped us reach our goal of 100 trucks (103 actually!) After we settle the accounting, I'll post up the details so ya'll can see where the money goes and how much your participation helped the Rescue Tellico fund.
I'm glad everyone seems to have had a great time, but if you have any ideas on things that could be done differently please let me know, either here or email me (dashtrucker (at) gmail (dot) com)
For those that are members (or your local clubs are members) of SFWDA, STLCA be hosting the Summer Convention at Crawford's June 13-15 with the East Coast Trail team in attendence. Please visit the SFWDA website for details.
Thanks again and see ya on the trails!
