Definitely more FJs closer to the big cities. I see about 2 or 3 a day down here on the coast. The wife's parents live in Concord so I'm up there about once or twice a month. I actually bought mine from Toyota Scion of Concord. I'm coming up there at the end of April to get my boat out of their yard. Can't wait to get it in the water for the first time in 2 years. I was in Iraq all of last summer and the water levels around there were so low. The wife and her brother took it to Norman once before it got too bad. Anyway, I'm rambling. Welcome to the forum, keep your eye out, fun stuff always pops up on the forums. Just wish I had the time and money to participate. Gas is rediculous for those long road trips.
I know at least one FJ that has come wheel'n that lives in or near Tega Cay. You may want to check out the Upstate Cruisers or Olde North State Cruisers (both TLCA clubs) for meeting others who have FJ's of all types.
There are many FJCruisers in the Upstate club and we are getting more in the ONSC. ONSC is having a meeting up my way (in Apex) tomorrow and I think that Upstate is having theirs on March 1st. Good way to meet others with the same interests and find more FJCruisers in your area...
True I used to live in Tega Cay, moved to Jacksonville FL in February. Man the wheeling here SUCKS!!!
I live West of you in Hendersonville, NC (just south of Asheville) There are several FJs in this area and 3 of us belong to the Smokey Mountain Cruisers. SMC is an active group in off roading. Are you guys into getting off road?

We're starting to get into it. My husband has taken it a few times to a friend's farm outside of Shelby, NC and had some fun I know. I personally haven't been offroad yet but I'm eager to go! There are a few mods that we are hopefully going to start doing in May so that it'll be in good shape to go just about anywhere.
I'd make the drive for a meet and greet. The in-laws live in Concord so as long as I have the days off to make the drive, I'm in. We could do a "Meet & Eat" at one of the 4 million restaurants in the area. Usually if you call far enough in advance most places will block off a portion of the parking lot so all the FJs can park together.
