Below MSRP...

I'm in Greenville N.C., and I was at the dealership over the weekend. 3 hours and I only got the price down to $700 below MSRP. I'm going to keep pushing but i was wondering if anyone got a good deal in the NC, SC, VA area, so I can have an alternate. Thanks!

I purchased mine from Jim Barkley Toyota in Asheville. I was very pleased with the experience but did pay full MSRP. However, you need to consider the whole picture. One of the sales managers sat down with me and we went through every option available and they found one for me with everything I wanted and no add ons or additional options. They don't charge a documentation fee (usually about $300). Is your dealer in Greenville charging you for this? If so, it's a bogus charge. I would also recommend asking them to remove any options you may not want or could get cheaper on ebay(front skid plate-not worth the $, tire cover, etc.) They also found a lower rate for my loan than a previous dealer had offered. My family has purchased several vehicles from this dealership and have been very pleased. Might be worth checking out. Good luck!

I'm have been going to Hubert Vester Toyota in Wilson and they do charge that damn documentation fee and it is exactly $300. Well, I spent a total of about 4-5 hours there yesterday but I am going to try and keep beating it down. I'll let ya'll know....

Re: Below MSRP...

stevenson fj didn't have the extra ripoff stuff ei. fees, coating, etc. truck was 2900 cheaper (than the one in gville) without that crap. they also gave me 2000 more for my trade than the guys here in greenville. the interest rate they got me was 3% lower than what the guys in greenville would do.

jville is military town. i'm from emerald isle. have bought most of my cars in jville. the one i did buy here in gville, got screwed BIG TIME!

paid msrp. gville added a bunch of junk fees on top of that.

Thanks for the clarification, I wasn't looking forward to the questions regarding where to buy at $5000 off MSRP
