So where would everyone like to go in May and what weekend works for everyone? Uharrie has been suggested. Heather has also found out about a bunch of trails in Harlan not on Black mountain that we can go and investigate. Apparently those trails start at a lake on the down past the HIE and go all the way over to Evarts.
Not sure about this one. Got family coming down, and starting to work on the new "toy". I'll just sit back, see what you guys brew up, then decide. Stan, you have to check out the new REI store in south asheville--very cool. There is a supposed "secret" trail mentioned in one of my old crawl magazines that isn't too far from here, I'll try to find it.

I was informed that the Lowcountry Land Cruisers and possibly Upstate Cruisers are going to Uwharrie 29-31 May if you guys are interested.
I'm all in for URE, but I can't go until the end of May, since the truck is going to the shop next week for for about 20 days. Ure isn't the largest park, so having both groups there might make it a little crowded, but it don't matter for the mud pusher

never does EVERYONE show up so it should be fine as long as the same group as last time is not there on Kodak blocking the trail and spending 30 minutes each trying to climb the rock. bastards! Also helps to break into smaller groups.....5-8 per group on trails...meet up for food and beverages that evening.
planning stages only right now.
