Exclamation Colorado FJ's Mag Chloride Season is Here, WAX???

Hey gang,
Well its that season again of cracked windshields, mag-chloride all over the side of your new FJ and was wondering what WAX to use.

I'd like some advice on what last the longest without scratching the paint and is going to repell that nasty mag, but I also want a nice shine too.

What are ya'll using and why?

Expensive?

I just use Turtle Wax. It lasts long enough for me, but I always wash my car right after all the splashback and mag chlouride dries.

Re: Colorado FJ's Mag Chloride Season is Here, WAX???

I used some thin stuff last year on my Taco but the mag ate right through it and it never stayed on the hood or front. But maybe I'll have to give the Turtle wax a try.
Thanks again for that info,

New article in Consumer Reports ranks Black Magic as the #1 car wax although they say it can be more difficult to remove than other waxes.

I sure like the Wolfgang acrylic wax. You can do the Fj, bumpers, wheels and windshield (bugs come off easier). It's very easy to apply and seems to last well.

Um, mag chloride? Sometimes in the winter... if it rains... I drive through that. Once... the rain was frozen and everyone stayed home.
