Driven FJ in Summit County Snow

Well, tommarrow will be interesting......it will be the first time driven my new FJ in the snow.
Any of you driven in snow and what do you think, I mean how does it handle?
Any one have BFG's on while driven in the snow?
Wish me luck........

Re: Driven FJ in Summit County Snow

aaaaaaahahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!..............mag-chloride. Don't know! Those bastards had so much mag-chloride down you could defrost the artic circle.
But the mag damage is going to be NICE in the winter.
Supposed to snow 2-4 inches tonight and well, we will try this again. I'm just interested to see how the Vehicle Stability system works and if the back end breaks loose easily. So, look out wal-mart parking lot....with the first snow.
HA.

My only experience was in the San Bernardino mts. If the event could be harnessed and made into an amusement ride....it would be the scariest thing there.

Re: Driven FJ in Summit County Snow

Granola9.............ha! Now thats a Summit County signature if I've ever seen one. Tee hee............how ya been? Well, everything is still the way you left it. Early snows and warm days. Still no snow to drive in though.......will let you all know how the puppy handles. Look out Walmart parking lot on first snow...ha!
take care bro

Ancient.......it really isn't all that bad when you spend 6 months out of the year in it. I would be more worried by elderly folks in florida driven..........ha. Used to live in Orlando and the grey hairs make driven interesting......ha

Re: Driven FJ in Summit County Snow

Holy smoke..................We got 15" and I took the ole girl for a little twist.
Near our station we have a big Keystone Ski Resort parking lot. Now, normally I'm doing donuts in our engine there, (driver training, honest chief) but this day I had the FJ and she handles really well in snow especially while in 4 wheel drive duh!
I realized that she acts pretty heavy in snow and track well in turns, but if you do get her loose in the back end forget it, anything over 45 and she's gone and not coming back without a loop or two, but by that time your having fun. Well, if your on a closed course.

Re: Driven FJ in Summit County Snow

Sounds like a blast. Did the rear end feel loose in 2 wheel drive?
