John,
We will post new info this coming week on the TOTH tread as we seek out some new trails for the 2nd TOTH. With fire restrictions and such we are looking at alternative locations around the Lincoln National Forest. Look forward to meeting you and your family in Ruidoso in May. Chris

JAXTOY,
How are you liking the new wheels? Also, did you get to Moab or is that later in the month? chris
Just got back today, I did Cliff Hanger (all FJ run) on Thursday (Robbie led the run, he was with Trail Teams last year at TOTH), Moab Rim on Friday, and Golden Spike on Saturday. It actually takes you on three trails (Golden Spike, Poison Spider and Gold Rim) we were on the trail for 13 hrs.....Man it was awesome. Wednesday, me a couple of guys I met last year went on Fins N Things, Ben broke his rear diff., Robbie introduced us to the Regional Manager for the area. He had Ben's diff. replace in Grand Junction and Ben was able to run on Saturday. He rode with me on Thursday, they towed his vehicle on Friday morning and he was back by 3:00pm. Big thanks to Robbie for helping Ben out!!!!!!!!!!! Without meeting the Regional manager it may have been a week before Ben would have had his vehicle repaired. Sorry to say I have to cancel on TOTH, I may be in Oregon at that time, plans are not in stone but I need to be available to drive my wife...if needed. I did substain some damaged, but not from Moab, a guy backed into me Tuesday evening while I was filling up with gas in Gallup....what an idiot. He was a plumber and had pipe on a rack, he back into the back of my vehicle shattering my back passenger side window and denting the vehicle pretty bad. I was able to tape the window (clear packing tape) to keep it from falling out, I should know sometime today the cost to repair. The guy does have insurance, and will pay for it.

Re: New Mexico FJ'ers

NM FJ Folks,
This last Sunday Brandon and I scouted out an alternative trail off Forest for the TOTH event. We scouted out an area south of Alamogordo, near Oro Grande (Jarilla Mountains). It will be a great trail ride for the novice and the experienced. This area is BLM/State Lands and is known for its mining and it will be a great sight seeing event for the day. I will be posting more info tomorrow on the TOTH tread about the trails etc.. Chris

Jack, glad you made it back mostly unscathed. That sucks about the accident, especially on the way out.

You have plans the weekend after TOTH? It looks like that will be the first weekend I'll be able to go to Socorro. Maybe we could hit Gordy's for a few hours.

Don't know, no plans at this time, everything is on hold until I figure out what my wife is doing. I will keep in touch.

Re: New Mexico FJ'ers

Yeah I was assuming you'd be back by then and that you'd have the FJ fixed. Just let me know.
