I am currently in Baghdad Iraq but my FJ is back home in Alamogordo NM. I can't wait to get back to add the latest and greatest fits. Did anyone go to the Toyota rally in Farmington?
I didn't but a few of us met last weekend in Farmington, we had a ball. Check around pages 36 you will see some pics and video. When ya get back we will have to rip it up!!!! Be safe, take care of yourself over there, and yes thanks.

Dan,
Your rig looks great with the black rims!! I am going to do mine but since I don't have a garage and the weather has been off and on, I am waiting for a stretch of good weather. Your rig is really looking great.
FannyJiggla,
Take care of yourself over there in Baghdad and give us a shout when your back home.

Tomas

If you are talking about the TTORA Takeover this past summer, yes we did. Montana and I went and it was a blast. Very intense. Some thought it was to much but it was fun to push it and see how far we could go. Montana posted a thread under trail reports with a number of pictures. When you get back home come up for a visit and we'll run some trails.

Thanks Tomas

How hard was it to paint your mirriors? Did you remove them or did you just spray them on your rig?

Re: New Mexico FJ'ers

I rattle canned my mirrors in place and taped around them. I have had alot of scratches on my handles and I have had to repaint a few times which is why I am going to get the black Tundra handles to replace them, they are cheap and easy to swap out. I suspect the black Tundra mirrors will be expensive due to the lights and remote adjust.

If you get up to Santa Fe, let me know in advance if you might have time for a short run out to Caja del Rio and I will take time off from work.
Do you have to work Xmas cause your new on the job?

Oh ya, I have to work the 24th and the 25th 1600-2400hrs. No fun for me. I am usually off during the week. Weekends are few and far between for me. I will see what my schedule looks like in January and I will pm you. Maybe there will be some snow to play in. Congrats on the skids. I think those will be my choice also.

Re: New Mexico FJ'ers

Hey Tomas - how is your time after the holidays - maybe we can get a quick run together to check out the old road you have been scouting. I am leaving for a training class this weekend and will be back on the 21st. It would be nice to do a run before the end of the year.

alphadog - welcome - keep track of this forum for trail runs and info.

Fanny - Keep safe and THANK YOU for your service. I have a son in the Marines and we are big supporters of our troops. Keep in touch on your return

Re: New Mexico FJ'ers

Good Evening NM FJers,
We had talked of a run next weekend but I just got out of a meeting and found out I will be working. Maybe after the 21st after Paul gets back.
Gotta share,
While I wont be running my FJ next weekend I am going to do something cool. A movie called Brothers is shooting at Garson Studios where I work and is going to film a scene with a full-size Blackhawk helicopter in our Stage B. Its built on a huge gimble so it can dive, rotate and climb. The chopper catches fire and Toby Mcquire falls out. Sometimes I really love my job.
