I don't know, I saw a full size suburban out there the other day. It was abandoned and shot to hell but it was out there.
That departure angle would kill you though. I could just see you at the dealer, "Honestly, the bumper just fell off"
Ya, would hate to call my insurance with that kind of news. I will fill you in on some of it's true capabilities this Sunday. Have you heard if many people are going to show up this Sunday?

I don't know. Paul and a couple of others are a maybe. I think the only one going for sure is me. I also invited a couple of guys, non-FJ owners, but I do that every time and they haven't shown up yet.

I thought you were on vacation? What the heck are doing on the forum?

Headed out to Wolf Creek tomorrow, just hanging out right now thought I would see if anything interesting is going on. By the way, the service rep. at toyota told me that they would replace this rear end but if it happens again it will be my responsibility because I have a lift and larger tires. I told him that they were full of sh** and if it happens again I expect them to replace it. Time will tell!!! By the way it wasn't the Service Reps. call, it came from corporate.

I really don't see that response as being out of line. If it breaks driving down the highway a week or so after you get it back, I would definitely hope they take care of you again. But you do have larger tires and wheel that rig pretty hard. I'm not saying you trash it but you definitely aren't afraid to push it's boundaries (that's a compliment by the way). So if you break the new harder gears tearing it up on the rocks, I'm pretty sure you won't blame toyota.

Your absolutely right, guess what bothers me is they aren't admitting that there is anything wrong with the gears and I am afraid that my front may be the same batch as the back. That's why he called corporate, I had requested they replace the front, they declined, claiming not knowing anything about a bad batch of gears.

Re: New Mexico FJ'ers

Cruise Moab registration is open, check site risingsun4x4club.org. I signed up for the following trails:

Thursday
Poison Spider
Golden Spike
Kane Creek Canyon

Friday
Moab Rim
Poison Spider
Kane Creek Cayon

Saturday
Golden Spike
Moab Rim
Poison Spider Mesa

Went last year, it was a great event. You do one trail a day, but you must give 3 choices. Sign up soon, it fills up pretty quick!!!

Wish I could make it but I have to chose between the Thrill on the hill, the Summit and this. Jess and I had already agreed to go to the Thrill.

Re: New Mexico FJ'ers

Got a few more people to join us this weekend. A couple of old 4runners and a guy in an TJ. They'll meet us at starbucks @ 10 or the airdown spot at the puerco at 10:30.
