Re: New Mexico FJ'ers

Hey guys, pending anything coming up, I am planning on being there on Sunday - I've got some new stuff to try out... If I am not there, don't wait, but I don't see any reason I can't be. I'd like to try out some new areas that Lawrence scouted.

Re: New Mexico FJ'ers

Great, What I did was download waypoints from a route on a website. It takes you south right away and then over to the fallen windmill. Then to snoopy but through the hills instead of around them. When you get up snoopy, you go in a north east direction to quite a few more rock climbs. None of them were much more difficult than climbing snoopy but it is a cool little trail.

Last time I also showed Jack a couple climbs west of snoopy that look interesting. We did a small one in the jeep that I know you'll like. It has a small bypass, which we took, but it has a slight of camber climb to it that makes it interesting. There was another one that I haven't worked the nerve to try yet. It has a rock that sticks out a bit and is screaming door or fender. With a spotter I think we'll be fine. There was a couple of crazy climbs too but I think we'll probably pass on those. Well, maybe not Jack.

For the new guys, there are bypasses and a stock rig will keep up just fine. You'll be able to do some really cool climbs too.

That sounds great. Looking forward to doing that run with ya. It just has to be on my scheduled days off.

Getting a rather full plate. Between a run to Payson and some training in Vegas.... then this spring off to Alaska for a few days of fishing and riding in float planes. The summit, and more training in Montreal.

See ya again on the trails.

X2 - I have been wanting to plan a fishing trip up there for a while. I did one day of fishing when we were up there on a cruise, it was great, now I want to hit the rivers to wet a fly and catch some lunkers. Have a great trip!
