Ok gang. I got pictures I want to post, but the gallery says I'm at my limit.
WTF? I've only uploaded 17 pictures?! Sigh. I guess I have to have more posts or something.
Well, only 3 of us came out this time. Mike, are you out there? We tried calling you, but you didn't pick up. We waited 'til about 9:45, then we left. Hope everything's ok.
So....me, my wife and daughter, Peter (itzdbom), and Billy (blkseabk) head out to Mokuleia. We went all the way to the gate by the bird sanctuary. With all the rain we've been having lately, it was pretty muddy.
Took me a while just to get all the mud and stuff from under my truck, but that's another story.
Peter and I both got custom "pinstriping" from the brush on some parts of the trail. Not even 1000 miles yet, and custom already. Cheeehoooo.
Anyhow, it was a real nice day, and I got some nice pics of the shoreline.
I really wish I could post the pics, but I dunno about this photo gallery....C'mon, I only have 17 pics in my profile.....
Anyhow, I had a blast, and my family enjoyed our little outing. 'Til next time....

yo steve & billy, good outing today, i should've stay with you guys cause both of my stupid picks lost today. the chargers choked, they made stupid errors and their d was talking all week long and at the end, just ran out of gas.
but yeah next time, lets wheel and hike & lunch. maybe in two weeks from now? aloha,
I wish I could post up some pics. I got some nice scenic shots of where we were.
BTW, did anyone hear from Mike yet?
As for the truck, it took a while to hose all the mud from underneath. I swear it was a few pounds at least. For the amount of fun I had, it was worth it.
I'll try to take the pinstripes off tomorrow. I'm waiting for the sun to go down a little more so I can wash the body. I already cleaned up the chassis, interior , and engine pretty good.
As long as we're talking next time, how about a trip to the Flats? We need to set a date, get our passes, and we're good to go. Need some input on what day is good, who's going, etc....
I think we should plan a lunch, maybe a hike, and whatevers. Plan for the whole day.
I also think we should invest (as a group) into some 2 way radios. Makes driving around much easier when we know where everyone wants to go. If anyone can score a deal, pick them up, and the rest of us will pay you back. Sound good?
Well, enough talking. Let me know what you guys think of the ideas.

yo, today was a tease for sure, i might go back tomorrow since i have mlk's day off. anybody want to go again but this time we have to take turns on taking pictures, especially in the deep muddie areas. let me know i am down if anyone wants go again for a "picture taking" tomorrow.
s-dev, i just have a feeling that no vendors will go down to 299 on the cai. should we just order from shannon@tacozzilla at 320 plus shipping? or should we wait some more?
also, you can put me in charge of the walkie-talkie duties. i'll hook it up and get the best deal for us.
Hey guys, sorry I couldn't make it today, I stayed up waaay to late last night with some folks at my house and didn't wake up until noon. I talked to billy and he said you guys had a good time. Oh well theres always next time, The flats sounds awesome. Could even camp there for a night. Let me know so I can plan to make sure I got that weekend off. What time you want to go? I can do a later afternoon thing like 12 or 1. I was talking about it anyway with the wife. lemme know.

hey guys, i checked around costco, wal-mart, best buy, circuit city and etc, but most all of the charging base accomodates both walkie talkies. however i found this one which uses aaa batteries so each of us can take one home or bring our own. its 19.99 for two. thats only $10 per person. let me know it this sounds good for everybody. below is the link to the unit from best buy.
