Wheeling in Las Vegas???

Hello everyone... next week I'm going to be in Vegas on business but I'll be driving my FJ. I'm from northern CA and don't know where to wheel in or around Vegas... can anyone suggest some wheeling spots that aren't too gnarly?

I will be wheeling solo (nobody to pull me out of a stuck) and I don't have a winch. I just want to take a few of my co-workers out and show them what wheeling is all about. I have a Hi-Lift jack and I've wheeled plenty in the past in my old Pathfinder... I'm just not familiar with Vegas, and will not have the security of a second vehicle for assistance.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Ted

Re: Wheeling in Las Vegas???

Thanks HellBent. I looked at your site and it seems Blue Diamond Wash and Frenchman Mountain might be the best for me. They look interesting enough not to be bored, yet moderate enough that it won't be too risky without a second vehicle. Do you agree?

I will probably be going one morning or afternoon during the week next week (Jan. 23 - 25). If anyone is interested in going on a short run please chime in.

Thanks again for the info!

Ted

Re: Wheeling in Las Vegas???

Thanks guys... I will sign up. I won't be arriving in Vegas until Sunday evening so I'll miss the Nellis Dunes run. I have checked out most of the trail postings and that's why I think either Blue Diamond Wash or Frenchman Mtn might be best. I'll post up and see who is interested in a short run mid-week.

Thanks again for the warm welcome!

Ted
