Southern Utah 8-12 through 8-18

I'm familiar with the area and plan to wheel the Kolob Plateau (west of Zion's National Park) and other areas in Southern Utah between August 12 and 18, planning to stay in St. George and perhaps as far north as Richfield & the lower Sanpete Valley (Hwy 89). There is no real agenda here beyond getting away from the rat race for a few days. If anyone else plans to do some trailing and running in that area during those dates & wants somebody to run with, let me know.

dude i'm totally in... sounds like a blast. I travel for a living, and have officially decided to take a full month off work and get as much upgrades and wheeling in as possbile. I fly back into OC on august 12th... then would like to get tires and install skid the following day or 2 (going to order bud built tomorrow or monday), and would love to make it out toward the end of your trip.

Other then that, will be stock + tires (probably skids). Hopefully ill be alright?

Re: Southern Utah 8-12 through 8-18

You guys will be in the area at a good time. The Utah 4 wheel drive association is having a meet over the 10-12th or something like that. They do some great runs that are really used by locals only most of the year. Just thought you might be interested. If not you can get a list of runs and some maps from here anyhow

The club is well organized and this should be a great event.

Have a good time out here regardless. POST PICS!

Re: Southern Utah 8-12 through 8-18

My current plans call for a departure on the afternoon of 8-12 (night in St. George) 8-13 and 8-14 in the Manti-LaSalle range between (east of) Fairview and Manti (including the Horseshoe) camping. Run down to the St. George/Cedar Breaks/Kolob Plateau/Zion's Natl. Park area 8-15 through 8-18/19.

MUDLOVINGFJ and ORANGETALENT let's keep in touch here and by cell phone for a coordinated meeting if it works out for both of you -- or anyone else interested in linking up.

My schedule is very fluid but at the moment, that's what I plan to do. If I don't get out of the city and away from "civilization" for a while, I'll go crazy.

Yeah -- somewhere. PM me just in case. I know you've got my Cell. And I will be charging my cell on the FJ's inverter if it can take the strain (haha).
