off roading near aspen...

im from fl and we have a condo in aspen...i was thinking of bringin my fj up next summer and i was wondering if there were any offroading places in that area

A good semi-loop would be to go up to Ashcroft just outside of Aspen, a ghost town with several buildings still standing, and then continue up Pearl Pass and go into Crested Butte. Take Schofield Pass out of Crested Butte and you will come out in Marble. Very scenic and good offroading IMO.
