Idea of the day: Colorado Off-Road Charity Run?

Ok, so...somehow I came across the Colorado 500:
The Colorado 500 Online

It's basically an annual charity dirt bike run that was started back in '74. Looks pretty neat

So I thought : "Wow! With all the 4x4 enthusiasts in Colorado, we could do something like that", because that's how I am.

The idea is that we do a multi-day almost all off-road run around Colorado, for charity of course. The most logical weekend would be Labor day, since pretty much every trail is open, it's always a 3 day weekend. I'm thinking maybe to support the troops (and families), or maybe for charity in general.

If something like this already exists, please let me know

sure, good times. A colorado charity would be my request...keep it local.

and if that doesn't work out, lets do the run for fun

With the formation of the Front range club, maybe that should be discussed at the next meeting.

I like the idea - maybe next year. Getting ready for B-day party for the kids birthdays (yes- both of them Sept 8 & 10) Keep us informed. Charity run would be great.
